What to write in "Description of problem" on X
X's appeal form gives you one box to explain yourself. Here is what goes in it, and a writer that turns your situation into a clear, honest description you can paste in.
What should you write in Description of problem?
Three to six short sentences. Name the account, say what you use it for, say what you think triggered the suspension (or honestly that you do not know), and make one clear request: please review and restore the account. If you broke a rule, say so plainly and say what you have changed.
Leave out anger, threats, legal language, your follower count, and long backstories. The person or system reading it needs to understand your case in under a minute.

Description of problem examples by situation
Each example is for a made-up account. Use the writer above to get one built from your own facts.
| Situation | Example description |
|---|---|
| You do not know why | My account @bakerybyjo was suspended on Monday. I use it to post my bakery's daily bread and opening hours, and I am not sure which rule I broke. If it was the same hours posted in several replies, that was me trying to answer customers. Please review the account and restore it. Thank you. |
| You broke a rule and fixed it | My account @samtravels was suspended after I followed and unfollowed many accounts with a growth app. I have disconnected the app and revoked its access. I understand this broke the platform manipulation rules and it will not happen again. Please restore the account. |
| Hacked or compromised | My account @rivermaps was suspended after someone got into it and posted spam links. I have changed my password, turned on two-factor authentication and removed unknown apps. The spam was not posted by me. Please restore the account so I can delete it. |
| Locked and verification fails | My account @lena_codes is locked and the phone verification code never arrives at the number on the account. I can verify by email instead. Please help me unlock the account. |
What not to put in your description
Anger and threats
"This is outrageous, I will sue" ends the conversation. Calm and specific gets read.
Your follower count or spending
Being big or paying for Premium does not change the rules, and it reads as pressure.
Guesses presented as facts
If you are not sure what happened, say so. A wrong confident claim can be checked against your account's history.
The same text as last time
A second appeal should answer X's reply and add something new, not repeat the first.
Next time, one ban won't cost you your whole audience
MicroPoster publishes each post natively to X, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn. If one account is suspended, your followers on the others still see every post while you appeal. Paid plans also check your connected accounts for shadowbans every month.

Frequently asked questions
How long should the description be?
Short. Three to six sentences, a few hundred characters. Long appeals do not get read more carefully; they get skimmed.
Should I admit what I did wrong?
If you know you broke a rule, yes. Say it plainly, say what you changed, and ask for the account back. Arguing about a rule you clearly broke is the fastest way to a rejection.
What if I really don't know why I was suspended?
Say exactly that, then describe your normal use of the account so the reviewer can see it is a real person using it normally. Honest uncertainty is better than a wrong guess.
Does the tool send the appeal for me?
No. It writes the appeal and tells you where to send it. You send it yourself from your own account and email, which is how platforms expect appeals to arrive.
Is the appeal writer free?
Yes. Five drafts a day, no account. What you type is used to write your draft and is not stored with your name.
