Before you start
- An active MicroPoster trial or subscription with an available automation.
- Two connected accounts on supported networks: X, Threads, Bluesky or Mastodon.
- Access to both accounts so you can check the published result.
1. Connect your source and destination
Open Connect Accounts in your dashboard and authorize both accounts. Check the network and username for each one before continuing.
Start with a single direction, such as X to Bluesky. The source is where you write the original. The destination is where MicroPoster publishes a copy.

Open Automations, select New Automation and choose Auto Cross-post. Select your source in From and your destination in To.
Review the hashtags and quote-post setting before saving. Leave optional additions empty for your first test so the result is easy to compare. Make sure the automation is active.
Crossposting checks run at the interval allowed by your plan. Creating the automation does not mean a new post will appear on the destination immediately.
Open Automations3. Publish a new post in your usual app
After activating the automation, publish a short new post directly on the source network. Use text you are happy to leave public, such as a brief product update.
Wait for a checking cycle. An older post is not a reliable first test of new-post detection. Avoid publishing repeated tests while you are still waiting for the first one.
- Start with plain text, then test links or supported media separately.
- Do not include #nocrosspost or #keephere in the test post. Those tags exclude a post from crossposting.
- Use a regular original post first. Replies, reposts and quote posts can follow different rules.
4. Check the copy on the destination
Open the destination network and compare the copy with your source post. Check text breaks, links, mentions and any media you included.
The copy is a separate post with its own replies and reactions. Editing or deleting the source does not mean the destination copy has been changed or removed. Review each network directly when correcting a published update.
- Confirm that the copy reached the intended account.
- Check longer posts and media before relying on them for an announcement.
- Once one direction works, add another automation for another destination.
