Connect X and authorize your Mastodon account through its server. Check the full Mastodon handle, including the server, before choosing it as a destination.

Create an automation from your X account to the connected Mastodon account. Activate it to copy supported new posts at your plan's check interval.

Check a post on your server
Publish a new X post and review its Mastodon copy. Check media, text breaks and account references against the requirements of the server you use.
A separate post for your Mastodon audience
A copy, not a boost
This workflow creates a Mastodon post from your supported X content. It is different from a native Mastodon boost, which reshares an existing Mastodon post.
Account names need context
An X handle is not automatically the same person on Mastodon. Read the destination copy when you mention other accounts, and adapt network-specific references when needed.
Can I crosspost from Mastodon to X?
Yes. Use Mastodon as the source and X as the destination in a separate automation. X's content requirements and your plan allowances apply to the resulting post.
Will a Mastodon edit update the original tweet?
No. Source and destination posts are separate. Editing one does not automatically update the other through MicroPoster.
How quickly does automatic crossposting run?
MicroPoster checks for new posts at the interval included in your plan. Crossposting is not instant. Platform availability, media processing and your remaining allowance can affect when a post is published.
Can I keep a post on just one platform?
Yes. Add #nocrosspost or #keephere to the post, or a reply in its thread, to skip it in automatic crossposting. You can still crosspost it manually from your dashboard.
Do I need a credit card to try MicroPoster?
No. New accounts receive a 7-day trial under the Creator plan limits. A trial without payment details does not automatically become a paid subscription. Check Pricing for the current account limits and allowances.
