The short answer

What does a profile audit check?

When someone lands on your profile, they decide in a few seconds whether to follow. They read your name, your bio and your pinned post, then glance at your last few posts to see if you are active and worth hearing from. A profile audit checks each of those, the way a stranger would.

This one does it in two layers. First it measures what can be measured from your public data: how often you post, how long since your last post, how many of your posts are replies, links or media, and how much each post gets back. Then an AI review reads your bio, name, pinned post and recent posts against those numbers and tells you what a stranger understands, what they do not, and what to change first.

What usually comes up

The problems we see most often

A bio that lists, but does not say

"Designer. Runner. Coffee." tells people three nouns and no reason to follow. The best bios say what you post about and who it is for.

Posts that do not match the bio

A bio about marketing over a feed of football takes. Visitors follow for what they see in your posts, not for what your bio promises.

Long silences

A gap of three weeks reads as an abandoned account. One post every two or three days is enough to look alive.

No pinned post

Your pinned post is free space at the top of your profile. Use it for your best post or a short introduction, not an announcement from last year.

Only links, or only replies

Accounts that only drop links look like a distribution channel. Accounts that only reply look like they have nothing of their own to say.

Default photo or missing header

Profiles without a real photo get far fewer follows, and many people assume they are bots.

Fix consistency without posting more by hand

Most audits flag the same thing: long silences on some networks. MicroPoster publishes each post natively to X, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and LinkedIn, so one good post keeps every profile active. Paid plans also check your connected accounts for shadowbans every month.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Which networks does the audit support?

X (Twitter), Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon. For Mastodon, enter your full address with the server, like name@mastodon.social. LinkedIn does not let other apps read profiles, so it has its own LinkedIn profile optimizer where you paste your headline and About section.

Do I need to log in or connect my account?

No. The audit reads your public profile and recent public posts, the same things any visitor sees. You only type your handle.

Which parts are AI and which are measured?

The setup, consistency, engagement and content mix scores are calculated from your public data with fixed rules, so they are the same every time. The written review, the bio score and the bio rewrites come from an AI model that is given those numbers and your posts and told not to contradict them or invent facts about you.

Is it free?

Yes. Three audits a day, no account. Each result is kept for six hours, so opening your own audit again does not use one.

How many posts does it look at?

Your most recent public posts: up to about 40 on X, 25 on Threads, 50 on Bluesky and 40 on Mastodon. That is enough to see your current habits, which matter more than what you posted a year ago.

MicroPoster is not affiliated with X, Meta, Bluesky or Mastodon. The audit reads public data only. Last reviewed on October 9, 2026.
