The original post is yours: an idea, a useful tip or a product update. The promotional link does not have to be the focus of that first post.
The post meets a condition
Autoplug tools monitor a post for an engagement condition. The available conditions and supported networks depend on the tool.
A reply adds your link
A follow-up reply points readers to a relevant newsletter, product or resource. It appears under your own post, rather than replying to other people automatically.
Useful follow-ups start with a relevant link
For a product
After explaining a problem your product solves: “This is why we built [product]. Here is a short demo: [your link].”
For a resource
After a tutorial: “The checklist from this post is available here: [your link].” Make sure the resource actually helps with the topic of the post.
What is Twitter autoplug?
Twitter autoplug, also called auto plug or auto-plug, means automatically adding a follow-up reply under your own X post when a configured condition is met. The reply often links to a newsletter, product or resource.
Can I use Auto Plug in MicroPoster today?
No. Auto Plug is planned and is not yet available, including during the free trial. MicroPoster currently offers automatic crossposting and Auto Repost. There is no announced Auto Plug release date.
Which networks will MicroPoster Auto Plug support?
The final network coverage, controls and plan availability have not been announced. Current crossposting support should not be treated as a promise of Auto Plug support.
Is autoplug the same as an automatic reply bot?
An autoplug adds a reply under your own post. A general reply bot may respond to other accounts, mentions or keywords. These are different workflows, so check what a tool actually does before choosing it.
What can I try in MicroPoster now?
You can try automatic crossposting between X, Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon, crossposting to LinkedIn, and native reposts of eligible recent posts. The 7-day trial uses Creator plan limits and does not require a credit card.
